Robin De Raaff's sources of inspiration include his love for Alban Berg's music - the most lyrical composer of the Second Viennese School. His works also refer to Igor Stravinsky and Bartok. But perhaps his greatest affinity is beyond music and lies with architects like Frank Lloyd Wright and Frank Gehry, whose strict geometrically set formulas become flowing forms. De Raaff's departure points are similar to these architects in terms of form and the mutual proportions of his works.
