Hailed by The New York Times as "the best piano duet in front of an audience today," Katia and Marielle Labèque are joined by the female flamenco vocalist of her generation, Catalan singer Mayte Martin, in a programme featuring arangements of Spanish classics.Already on tour in Europe [Madrid, Fuengirola, Koln[, their debut in the USA will be at Royce Hall, Los Angeles in April 2009 followed by the UK in May.

Daughters of Ada Cecchi, a former student of Marguerite Long, Katia and Marielle Labèque spent a childhood filled with music. They have a stunning career throughout the world and have been guests of the most prestigious orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, London Symphony, the Philharmonia, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Dresden Staatskapelle and Vienna Philharmonic.Their concert at the Vienna Musikverein with Il Giardino Armonico was televised worldwide by ORF and recorded on DVD for Medici Arts.

Their first recording for Philips, of Gershwin´s Rhapsody in Blue, received a Gold Disc immediately after its release. Since then Katia and Marielle Labèque have made numerous recordings for Philips, Sony and EMI.The desire to build a bridge crossing all aspects of contemporary creation has led Katia and Marielle to form their own label, KML Recordings.
