As well as various works for recorder quartet by Brade, Byrd and Tye, the main feature of this release is "The Domestication of the Animal World" which is taken from The Lord's Masque that was performed as part of the marriage celebrations of Elizabeth, the daughter of James I, in 1613.

Each movement represents an animal, (deer, bee, nightingale, camel) tamed by the enchantment of music.

The CD is accompanied by a DVD of animated films inspired by the music on this CD.
